Privacy policy
Green Thread Communications (“Green Thread”, “I”) is run by Sarah Greenfield, based in North West London. This policy explains what personal information I collect through greenthreadcomms.co.uk, why, and what your rights are.

What I collect and why
Contact form. When you send an enquiry I collect your name, email address, organisation, and anything you include in your message. I use this to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to deliver that work. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and contract where we proceed to work together.
Newsletter. If you tick the sign-up box or subscribe, I collect your email address to send occasional practical tips. Legal basis: your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Website analytics. This site runs on Squarespace, which collects standard visitor analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) using cookies. A cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Legal basis: your consent.
What I do not do
I do not sell your information. I do not share it with third parties for marketing. I do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who else processes your data
Your data is stored by the services I use to run Green Thread: Squarespace (website and forms), Google (email), and my email newsletter provider. Each processes data under its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards. Some of these providers store data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy decisions.
How long I keep it
Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, so I have context if you get back in touch. Client records: for the duration of our work together, then up to six years for tax and legal purposes. Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to show you the personal data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or provide it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@greenthreadcomms.co.uk and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
